Process Safety / Risk Management

Process Safety Management and Risk Management compliance is integral to facility operations and can be useful tools to minimize potential liability, personal injury and property damage, as well as reducing potential fines for accidents and injuries.

United States Risk Management, L.L.C. (USRM) understands the need to minimize liability and retain compliance with environmental and safety regulations. USRM can provide personnel qualified to respond to process safety and risk management issues across a multitude of industrial sectors.

To help assure safe and healthful workplaces, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has issued the Process Safety Management (PSM) of Highly Hazardous Chemicals standard (1910.119), which contains requirements for the management of hazards associated with processes using highly hazardous chemicals. OSHA's standard emphasizes the management of hazards associated with highly hazardous chemicals and establishes a comprehensive management program that integrates technologies, procedures, and management practices. USRM personnel can assist to ensure all fourteen (14) elements of the PSM program are properly implemented.

In addition to providing analysis for reducing accidents in the work place (the core intent of PSM regulations), it is important to note that the intent of the RMP rule is to focus on impacts occurring outside the fence line, rather than to employees or contractors working on the job. Therefore, USRM can also work with clients to analyze and communicate offsite impacts.
