The continued growth of the environmental insurance market is being driven and shaped by many factors including changes in legislation, complex business transactions, and the mounting pressure on companies to demonstrate adequate risk control to shareholders. United States Risk Management, L.L.C. (USRM) can assist insurance carriers and policy holders in environmental insurance coverage disputes.

In servicing claims for the insurance industry, USRM personnel has been retained by some of the largest world-wide insurance carriers to assist with hurricane damage claims for commercial properties along the Gulf Coast region. USRM staff is routinely retained by insurers to coordinate and compile technical information for claims. We have also provided property damage assessments for evaluation of full-scale soil and groundwater remediation activities, as well having performed dispersion modeling for release of contaminants to air, soil, surface water, and drinking water for the purpose of establishing release conditions and dispersion throughout a community. In addition, USRM provides personnel to assist with insurance underwriting risk evaluation with the multi-media evaluation of pollution prevention and compliance management programs, ensuring that facilities are operating in accordance with federal and state regulations. USRM personnel also assist with litigation support and mediation where the claims evaluation process involves disputes.

We maintain a diverse group of technical personnel with extensive experience, education and training to support the needs of the insurance industry in the fields of geology and hydrogeology, wetlands and ecological assessment, industrial hygiene, biology, toxicology, health risk assessment, safety, emergency response, computerized atmospheric releases including dispersion modeling, as well as lead, mold and asbestos inspections.
