Environmental Management Systems
Proper use of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) can lend a tremendous amount of credibility to industrial operations on many levels. As the benefits of EMS are becoming realized throughout industry, it is becoming necessary for industry not only to use EMS concepts, but to also conduct business with others who also use these concepts.
United States Risk Management, L.L.C. (USRM) realizes the value of EMS utilization and is uniquely positioned to provide support in development, implementation, training and auditing of EMS programs across a variety of commercial, municipal and industrial clientele.
Most industries have procedures and systems in place to comply with existing environmental regulations. Implementation of an EMS can be used as a framework to account for current regulatory programs as well as provide insight for control of operations not normally included in environmental practices.
Consolidation of operations under an EMS is a useful tool to assess areas for cost savings and improved efficiencies, as well as to reduce future non-compliance and resulting fines or penalties.
USRM can provide expertise in the following areas of EMS analysis and preparation:
- Existing Program Analysis (i.e. Gap Analysis)
- Policy Development
- Legal / Regulatory Requirements
