Flood Damage Assessment & Design
Nashville, Tennessee's Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center
US Risk Management was retained by Gaylord Entertainment to assess damages to the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, as a result of the flooding associated with the Cumberland River that occurred during the first week in May 2010. US Risk Management worked “around the clock” with Gaylord staff and their restoration contractor to evaluate damages to the entire resort, inspecting all areas of the property and designing protocols to address water and environmental impacts to the property. Following the oversight of restoration work, US Risk Management staff performed clearance inspections across the property prior to the much-anticipated opening of the facility on November 15, 2010. The property has more than 600,000 square feet of meeting space, nine acres of indoor gardens, and over 2,000 guest rooms, in addition to the Grand Ole Opry Theatre and Museum, as well as numerous other support buildings. US Risk Management was honored to partner with Gaylord Entertainment and support their efforts to restore such a vital landmark in Nashville, TN.
